The Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) syllabus is designed to provide a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training. The curriculum prepares aspiring preschool teachers with the skills and confidence required to work effectively with children from birth to 6 years of age.
Eligibility
10+2 (12th Pass) or equivalent

Unit 1: Understanding Preschool Education
Introduction to preschool education, ECCE principles, learning approaches, and the role of the preschool teacher.Unit 2: Child Development & Child Psychology
Growth and development from birth to six years, child psychology, behaviour, learning, and developmental milestones.Unit 3: Elementary Principles of Nutrition
Balanced diet, nutrition, health, hygiene, food safety, and nutritional needs of young children.Unit 4: Activities of Various Agencies in India
Government programmes, child welfare services, ICDS, Anganwadi, and agencies supporting early childhood care and education.Unit 5: Organization of Preschool Centres
Planning and managing preschool classrooms, learning environments, records, routines, safety, and administration.Practical Training
